Shortly after the allegations were made public, Hook Entertainment announced that the actress had broken up with Kang and was not aware of his business dealings.

On February 15, Hook Entertainment released a new statement explaining that Park Min Young was summoned by the prosecution earlier on February 13 as a witness for the ongoing investigation. It is reported that the actress denied any involvement with the situation.
