Wu Lei made his acting debut when he was only 3 years old in 2002 in a commercial for Chinese dietary supplements.
He started receiving a lot of attention for his role in the children television drama Naughty boy Xiaotiao Ma (2010) for he which he won the Outstanding Child Actor award at the Flying Apsaras Awards.
